जल है तो कल है
The ground water condition in many parts of our country is at very critical level. The Central Ground Water Board told the Supreme court that, “the water level has been decreasing from 0.5 metre to 2 metres per year at different places in Delhi and could lead to a crisis if not halted.”
On 19 June 2019, Chennai city officials declared that “Day Zero“, or the day when almost no water is left, had been reached as all the four main reservoirs supplying water to the city had run dry. According to a study by the federal government think tank NITI Aayog, 21 Indian cities will run out of groundwater by 2020, including the capital New Delhi.
Seeing this our team Jaago Bharat has taken initiative to help societies installing rainwater harvesting system so that our city Noida doesn’t face the similar situation.
We are happy to inform you that we have completed our first project at GAIL apartment, sector 62, Noida.
It started on 15 August 2019 and got completed within 20 days. Now GAIL apartment is conserving 14,38,900 litres of water every year.
